Entries can be based on a Person, Fractional Developer / Club or Service provider. With the judging process complete, the winners will be announced at the Fractional Summit, on Friday 19th February 2009 at Marriott London, Grosvenor Square, London.

The event will be attended by industry professionals including national and international media, and finalists will
receive publicity on FractionalLife.com and within Fractional Life published product both before and after the event.

How To Take Part

1. Agents can enter one or more developments. Suppliers, service providers and real estate agents can, with the permission of the developer, enter developments or properties on behalf of a developer. (Suppliers, service providers and real estate agents who enter a winning development will be listed in published material as the main contact for information, however developers’ names will be printed on winners’ trophies).

2. Any built development (or one that is currently under construction) may be entered, and judges will assess each entry. The very best entrants in each category will be named finalists.

3. There is no charge for entry to any of the awards.

Final award entry deadline: Friday 22nd January 2010

Winners will be announced at The Fractional Summit on Friday 19th February 2010.

The judging panel for the forthcoming Fractional Life Awards 2010 has been announced:

Philip Bacon, Managing Director of HVS Madrid and Managing Director EMEA & Asia, HVS Shared Ownership Services - a specialist division of HVS Global Hospitality Services.

HVS Shared Ownership Services EMEA & Asia is based in Madrid and focuses on the development of mixed used resorts and resorts developed around shared ownership business models such as Vacation Ownership, Residence Clubs, Branded Residences and Condo Hotels.

Philip is responsible for the delivery of all HVS hospitality services, including hotel valuations and feasibility studies, operator search and strategic business planning.

Piers Brown, Founder, Fractional Life. Piers founded Fractional Life in December 2006 following his MBA, completing his thesis on ‘fractional ownership’. Piers was previously a Sales and Marketing director- having worked in retail, the national media and one of the most successful fractional car clubs over his career. He’s also a qualified member of the Institute of Direct Marketing and Institute of Sales and Marketing Management.

Piers is a Founder member of FSOTA, the fractional and shared ownership trade association and speaks on fractional consumer trends throughout the world.

Eric Gummers, Partner, Howard Kennedy. Eric Gummers joined Howard Kennedy in September 2003 from Amhurst Brown Colombotti as part of the merger between the two firms. Eric is a corporate partner with 22 years´ experience. His expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and commercial contracts. A high proportion of his work is international. Eric is recognised for his specialised work in the hotel and leisure sector, particularly membership clubs, loyalty programmes, fractional, shared ownership and condo-hotels.

Cheryl Markosky, Journalist. Cheryl is a leading Property Journalist who writes for various national and consumer titles such as the Mail on Sunday, Location Location Location magazine and the Daily Telegraph to name but a few.

47 Park Street wins Readers' Choice Award At Fractional Summit

47 Park Street -- Grand Residences by Marriott was voted by Fractionallife.com (www.fractionallife.com) readers as the best all-round fractional offering in the marketplace today.

The award was announced at the recent Fractional Life Summit for those in the fractional business.  Christian Jensen Broby, chief customer officer and vice president for Marriott’s business planning in the Middle East and Europe, participated in a panel with other fractional luminaries to advise those with strategic business dilemmas. 

The Fractional Life awards are the first and only of their kind, offering a seal of approval for those considering a fractional ownership purchase and acknowledging the global nature of the industry.  There are now 90 properties providing deeded, fractional real estate across Europe, 14 percent of which are located in the UK. This concentration in the UK, is the third highest after Portugal (20 percent) and France (18 percent).

Since fractional ownership emerged in Europe, where they were located in key holiday destinations, the market has grown considerably.  Globally, the industry took in £1.6 billion worth of sales last year alone.  Only 18 percent of European properties are in urban destinations like 47 Park Street, though this number is set to grow as many companies identify the advantages of city locations.

Avenio Prieuré Scoops Top Prize At The Fractional Life Awards

Avenio Prieuré, one of The Registry Collection'® newest affiliates, has walked away with the Fractional Life award for innovation and excellence, the ultimate accolade in the fractional industry. The award was presented at the annual Fractional Summit where all the "movers and the shakers" off the fractional industry come together to discuss and grow the fractional marketplace. Fractional Life received well over 50 award entries from around the globe but in the end, it was Avenio Prieué who came out on top.

Avenio Prieuré, a luxury resort development company, joined with the Les Maisons de Baumanière hotel portfolio, based in Provence, France, to develop three fractional properties in Avignon, Gordes and Aix-en-Provence.

This year’s summit was held on 23rd and 24th April at The Hilton Metropole Hotel in London and was a sell out success, providing an indication of the high level of interest in the fractional property market.
