America's Cup prompts San Francisco fractional sales rush

Sales at the Fairmont Heritage Place fractional development at Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco have received a boost from buyers who have chosen the site for its position – right in front of the racing area for the 2013 America's Cup yacht race.

Todd Chapman, owner of developer JMA Ventures, told the San Francisco Business Times that half of the 530 fractional ownership shares the waterfront property are sold.

Prices for 1/10th shares at the development are $208,000 for a two-bedroom unit and $158,000 for a one-bedroom unit, all of which offer spectacular views of the America’s Cup finish line on San Francisco Bay.

“This is certainly a good place for us to be,” said Chapman. “We see an increase in the pace of sales, which is a good sign.”
