Fractional Life To Sponsor Homes Overseas Awards
Fractional Life, the premier fractional web brand which gives the inside track on happenings within the current fractional ownership and asset-sharing marketplace, will be the sponsor of the Best Fractional Ownership category of this year’s Homes Overseas Awards http://www.homesoverseas.co.uk
The Awards are now entering their fifth year and are widely regarded as the most sought-after accolades in international property.
The Best Fractional Ownership award was one of the most hotly contested categories last year, and is one of 30 in this year’s scheme. It recognises the growing popularity of fractional ownership schemes in providing the opportunity to own overseas property to a wider audience. The location and quality of the homes and the standard of the amenities provided by the development are crucial factors in selecting the winner of the award, as is the longer-term investment potential offered by the development.
“Fractional Life's decision to sponsor the Homes Overseas awards was a simple one,” comments Piers Brown, founder of Fractional Life. “Homes Overseas is an innovative brand, being one of the first property publications to cover the growing consumer trend of fractional property ownership and unique in recognising excellence with a dedicated fractional award. We are therefore proud supporters of the awards. The reputation of the Homes Overseas Awards team is well known and they are consistently the first to reveal new developments in the growing fractional property marketplace.”
The award categories include 18 destination-specific, 10 specialist, and the highly coveted Homes Overseas Developer of the Year and Readers’ Choice awards.
The destination-specific categories are: Best Development Australasia, Bulgaria, Canada, Cape Verde, Caribbean, Central & South America, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Italy, Middle East, Morocco, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Thailand, Turkey and USA. Specialist categories are open to developments located anywhere in the world, and include: Best Fractional Ownership Scheme, Best Golf Development, Best High-Rise Development, Best Luxury Development, Best Marina Development, Best Renovation, Best Retirement Development, Best Ski Development, Best Spa Development and Best Sustainable Development.
The Homes Overseas Magazine Awards scheme sets itself apart from others in the sector by sending judges to view all shortlisted developments and carry out an in-depth assessment of each. The judging team consists of independent industry experts and eminent property journalists.
All ‘Early Bird’ entries, (ie all those received by Friday, 9 May 2008), will be automatically entered into the Readers’ Choice category. A panel of Homes Overseas magazine readers will be invited to select five finalists from all Early Bird entries received, and the overall winner, selected by the readers, will be announced at the awards ceremony in October.
The final entry deadline is Friday, 13 June 2008. Winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in each category will be announced at a Gala dinner and awards ceremony on Friday, 17 October 2008 at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
The entry fee is £395 (+ VAT if applicable) per category, and entries can be submitted by post, or online at www.homesoverseasawards2008.com. A full list of categories, entry guidelines and a downloadable prospectus are also available on the website.
