Hawker Beechcraft announces new jet
Although not strictly fractional news the latest Hawker Beechcraft aircraft is likely to be very popular with fractional providers...
The Premier II light business jet announced at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition, held earlier this week in Geneva (19 May 2008), is a development of the company's Premier I business jet, but will have higher cruise speeds and 20 percent longer range.
"The Beechcraft Premier II will redefine the light jet market and take it to a new level in meeting customer expectations," Hawker Beechcraft chairman and president Jim Schuster said in a statement.
The plane will hold up to six passengers and will feature an all-composite fuselage that allows for a medium-jet sized cabin at light jet costs. First flight is scheduled for April 2009 with certification in mid-2010.
