M1NT gets taste of Cannes
M1NT, the world's first shareholders' club, embarks on aggressive expansion program in Cannes following the success of its London and Hong Kong clubs
LONDON: On the verge of announcing details of its seven storey 150,000 square foot M1NT Shanghai development complete with manta rays swimming in a glass roof ceiling M1NT is now strutting its stuff on the global film stage, delivering its first class club to the Hollywood elite at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
M1NT, together with international PR firm Four Communications, will play host to the most glamorous and beautifully constructed parties for those with the cash and power to dazzle their guests in the plush surroundings of possibly the most luxurious villa space in the Cote d'Azur region.
Catering to up to 1,500 guests, the club will offer guests the likes of Hed Kandi, Basement Jaxx and Bargrooves DJ Ben Sowton spinning the decks for film studio and corporate clients, private parties and film launches throughout the festival period.
With premium champagne flowing and supported by the Gulf International Film Festival, guests will be chauffer driven by a fleet of top of the range Jaguars to the hottest ticket in town, M1NT's launch party on the first Thursday night -17 May.
Hed Kandi will perform at the no-expenses spared official opening party and rumor has it that M1NT founder Alistair Paton's fascination for dangerous aquatic animals will be played out by converting the Villa's giant fresh water swimming pool into a salt water pool to house his pet hammerhead sharks from M1NT's Hong Kong club during the festival.
Peppered with film industry elite and international celebrities, the club's party schedule throughout the festival is already heaving.
"If you have the budget and want the best then there is only place to throw a party in Cannes this year," Paton said.
