New fractional resort for Mexico

A new fractional ownership resort is due to open in Mexico this year. La Tranquila will be located in the Litibu area near Punta Mita on the Pacific coast of Nayarit State.

There will be 169 units, consisting of four types of accommodation ranging from Residence Serena Studios to the three-room, three-bath Residence Brisa. These will be sold in 1/12th fractions, giving owners four weeks per year.

Guest amenities include golf privileges at a Greg Norman-designed course, the full service La Tranquila Spa Club, gourmet dining, pre-arrival provisioning of accommodations and a full complement of resort services.

The second phase of construction which will bring 72 suites is set to be completed in June 2010, followed by the final phase of 71 suites set to be finished for a December 2011 opening.
