Spectacular Scottish fractional golf resort joins The Registry Collection

Machrihanish Dunes 8th holeThe Village at Machrihanish Dunes - overlooking what many regard as the most spectacular opening hole in golf - has been affiliated to fractional real estate exchange network The Registry Collection.
"It was an easy decision to work with The Registry Collection,” said David Southworth, founder and owner of Southworth Development LLC, developer of The Village at Machrihanish Dunes.

Jonathan Back, managing director of RCI, EMEAI, said: "We are very pleased to welcome The Village at Machrihanish Dunes into The Registry Collection.

"Southworth Development has much experience in delivering the finest golf experiences in some of the world’s best locations and we’re fortunate in being able to offer their exceptional golf lifestyle experience to our members."

Situated on the south-west coast of Scotland's Mull of Kintyre, Machrihanish Dunes lies adjacent to the Machrihanish Golf Club, opened in 1876 with a course designed by the internationally-renowned Old Tom Morris.

Machrihanish Dunes has its own 18-hole championship-standard links golf course, designed by David McLay Kidd which opened last year

Owners at Machrihanish Dunes include former Ryder Cup golfer Ronan Rafferty, who will be welcoming guests on July 13 at The Barcelo Marine Hotel in Troon, the first in a series of presentations to be held across the UK where attendees will also receive a certificate for a free round of golf at the Machrihanish Dunes Golf Club.

Other features of the area include an observatory; beach, biking and walking trails, windsurfing, fishing and a wildlife reserve. Machrihanish Dunes includes the renovated Old Clubhouse Pub, and a gym and spa are due to open on site next year.

Future phases of development will include the restoration of two classic Scottish hotels and the creation of residential family properties.

Fractional properties at the resort will be cottages to be sold by the developers in four-week fractional use periods (one in each season) with prices ranging from £46,000 to £69,700, depending on the size and location of the cottage.

Purchasers wanting to buy less than four weeks’ use are able to buy a single week floating seasonal ownership sold by high (£19,975), mid (£17,975) or low (£9,975) season. Purchasers of single weeks would benefit from membership of the RCI vacation exchange network giving them access to more than 4,000 resorts worldwide.

The developers are also extending to qualified purchasers the chance to buy a Discovery Package, which offers two nights’ accommodation and golf for £139.
