The Hideaways Club sees surge in member numbers
Destination club investment fund The Hideaways Club has announced a record year in terms of members joining the Club during 2011, as well as a substantial increase in the number of properties in its two investment funds.
The company’s first fund, the Classic Collection, operates 37 chalets and villas throughout Europe, Africa, Mauritius and South East Asia, and has in excess of 248 members to date. Ultimately there will be 100 properties in the portfolio and 600 members.
Launched in June this year the company’s second fund, the City Collection, has this week signed up its 50th member. It currently has 11 apartments available for use, with a further six due to come on line in the next two months. The fund will eventually consist of a portfolio of 120 city apartments globally and 1,200 members.
Mike Balfour, chairman and co- founder of The Hideaways Club said, “2011 has been a spectacular year of growth for the company in terms of both properties and membership. We have seen a 60% increase in membership over the same period last year and the extremely positive testimonials from our Members confirms our belief that the Club is not just a financially astute way to own and use overseas properties. Membership of both Funds provides the means to enjoy memorable holiday experiences in a wide variety of properties while at the same time benefiting from the capital growth of their investment.”
